Lake Huron Trail

Bruce trail is a 780km, hiking trail in southern and central Ontario, Canada along the length of the Niagara Escarpment.  It is the longest trail in Ontario with innumerable access points. During winter, you can enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, a full-thrill adventure for skiers. Along the Bruce trail, there are many waterfalls where streams and rivers flow over the Niagara Escarpment and by the side trail of the Bruce Trail proper you will reach one of the famous watercourses in the area, the Niagara Falls which is the most known watercourse in the area. The Niagara Escarpment is the most renowned escarpment formed in the great lake while the Niagara Falls is known for its beauty and important source of hydroelectric power.

Along the trail, there are also a wide range of plants and wildlife including slow growing centuries old coniferous trees right on the limestone lip of the escarpment itself.  In Canada, Bruce Trail is the oldest and longest public footpath and a remarkable achievement, carving a continuous slice of wilderness from a highly populated area, which encompasses the major urban centers, is a phenomenal undertaking.  Its trail follows the Niagara Escarpment, which is one of Ontario’s most interesting and unique geological features.  Bruce Trail offers endless outdoor activities, you can choose from easy overnight trips to a full-fledged hike that will take well over a month.
