There’s a lot of reason why camping in Lake Michigan is one of the top family vacation.  First is its simple, affordable and most of all, it’s full of fun.  When you are in Michigan, there are a lot of country’s best campgrounds to choose from.  It’s all up to you to choose from variety of campgrounds.  You have a choice to rough it in a tent or even rent a cabin with showers and air conditioning.  One of the all time favorites’ campgrounds is the P.J Hoffmaster State Park located in Muskegon, Michigan.  This wonderful state park has 1,100 acre of tree covered sand dunes and 3 miles of Lake Michigan beach.  Some of its 293 campsites seem almost secluded in the wooded valley but are only a short hike to one of the most beautiful beaches around.  In this park, there is also a place for biking, hiking, picnicking and swimming.  One of the favorite attractions of the place is the Dune Climb Stairway that leads to the top of a high sand dune and at the very top there is an observation deck that offers a fabulous panoramic view of the dunes and the Lake Michigan.  It is so wonderful to stare and look into the Lake Michigan and see only trees and sand covered by dunes.  This place is truly an exceptional and family friendly beach.
